September Song

People are always advising against getting covered in tattoos because you'll look 'weird' when you're old. I think these people look pretty radical

Market Time

It's nearly time for my next market which will be the YOU, ME AND EVERYONE WE KNOW MARKET

I have lots of lovely (well, I think so anyway) new things for you to buy, including some v gorge (yeah, v gorge) sweatshirts and a few amazing (OK, I'm just blowing my own horn now) high-waisted bikinis.
I really want to shoot all my clothes before Friday but haven't gotten it together yet. I've upped my Facebook-stalking game on the hunt for a babe to model my things but it is proving harder than I thought, mainly 'cause I'm too embarrassed/shy to ask anyone.

WAZZUP

Just finished making my favourite thing I've ever made. This is all I'm showing you for now

Somebody That I Used To Know

I can't get this song by Gotye out of my head. It is SO WONDERFUL but the music video is awful so have a listen and look at these pictures while you do instead of watching it

Sewing Month!

I wish my sewing space looked like any of these:

Dolly

Today I received a life-changing gift; a dress makers dummy

My apologies for the terrible picture but my camera's been repossessed so BlackBerry quality will have to do for now.

I've been having so much fun draping and pinning on this girl, pretending like I'm on Project Runway.

Making Things

I just finished my latest commission which was a matric dance dress loosely based on this Halston dress SJP wore to the Met Ball this year.

It looks so beautiful but the dance is only in a month's time so we'll just have to wait for a photo. It's the first couture item I've made since leaving my apprenticeship so I'm pretty excited / pleased with myself :)

Liberty Fabrics

I've just been admiring all of the beautiful fabrics from Liberty, one of my favourite shops in London.

Christian Roth

This guy knew how to create clothes that make you giggle a bit, which I love

This one is my best

Nails

I got given 5 Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips to try out. They're basically nail polish stickers and they come in the most amazing prints (see left)

I took the zebra print ones for a test drive this weekend. They have been through a party, a (reluctant) trip to TigerTiger and a camping expedition, and they still look great!

Please excuse the creepy shape of my hands; it was the best pose to get all the nails in.

N Y F W

I took a trip down to the internet cafe to get a look at Rodarte's show. Very van Gogh-ey; I like it!

Bunting

I sold all of my bunting at the Bijou market so making some more!

BIJOU collective

Saturday the 10th was the launch of the Bijou Collective night market. It was held at the Bijou, an old cinema house in Observatory. The space is still full of strange machinery and equipment so us stall holders worked around them/incorporated them into our space. I built my stand around a piece of machinery i can't really describe to you, but i can tell you i smashed my head into it whilst packing up and now have a lump on my forehead.

People seemed to really like my things which made me feel so happy and inspired. Thank you everyone who supported me; your money means I can go fabric shopping tomorrow and make more nice clothes for next time!

this is me looking a bit silly and over-excited at my stand
