holding a picture of you

I love going to my parents' house and looking through their boxes and boxes of photos, Polaroids and slides. I recently found this slide of my mom, by my dad - nice hey? They used to use slide film for printing in magazines etc back in the day as it was better quality than negative film.

You can also cross-process your slide film which gives all the photos a blue-y/green-y tinge like this. My dad went through a phase where he did this to all our family photos. At the time I was like 'dad stop, I wanna be a normal kid with normal photos' but now we have the coolest childhood pictures ever; thanks, dad :)

my mom ♡

It's my mother's birthday today! My mom is one of the loveliest women you'll ever meet; her happiness and enthusiasm is totally contagious, as is her insane + loud laughter, and her ridiculous catch-phrases. We share a deep love and appreciation of clothes, our favourite lunch is popcorn + jelly tots, and together we are an extremely excitable pair and can often be seen shaking our fists about in excitement.

As well as being fun, kind and able to get along with just about anyone, she is also cursed with the burden of being terribly beautiful. She was scouted just after she left high school and spent many years travelling the world as a model. One time she hung out with Guns 'n Roses, so she's pretty cool.

Often my parents would let me take the days off school to be my mom's child in shoots (clearly they had their priorities in order). Here are just a few of us in action :

Happy birthday Mama, you are so beautiful inside and out and I love you a lot!

happy birthday dad ♡

Today is my darling dad's birthday!

My dad is a photographer, and an amazing one at that. I didn't inherit his skills but he did teach me how to be a pro at Photoshop. I think I'm definitely a mix of both my parents but me and my dad share our sense of humour, our creativity, our blue eyes, and the way we look at the world. He is a great fashion + beauty photographer but his personal photographs are my favourite. He's been all over the world and has beautiful + interesting photos to show for it. Here are just a few of them, all taken in Paris in the 70's/80's(more to come ☺ )

This one was taken in Greece. I love it

Happy birthday to you pops, I love you lots ☺
