see-saw-do ♥

Thank you everyone who came to the City Bowl Market this weekend! I LOVE taking part in this market, mainly because of all the nice people I've met through it.
This Saturday I met the loveliest & cutest couple EVER. They're Jeremy and Xanele Puren and they run See-Saw-Do, along with Schalk Venter.
See-Saw-Do is a social enterprise founded on the transformative power of creativity and love. We are driven by a heartfelt conviction that all children, regardless of their place of birth, should be given equal opportunities and environments in which to grow and learn.
See-Saw-Do focuses on the physical transformation of the spaces in which children develop, as well as on the production and distribution of mother-tongue reading material to these facilities. We strongly believe in the formative power of images and the claim of a community to negotiate its own visual environment.
Basically they make places like libraries/homes/creches look AWESOME and a lovely place for children with their beautiful & super-happy murals. They also organise mother-tongue book donations (donate HERE!) and you can organise a painting day as a corporate event (HERE!

some examples of what they've done - great, right? I signed up to be a volunteer and you should too HERE and let's go painting!

All pictures are from the SeeSawDo website and you can like their facebook page here.

P.S. Jeremy was wearing a t-shirt that said 'ek moet mooi vir Xanele lyk' in permanent marker…! Told you they were lovely
