Yesterday I bought some printed lycra for my high-waisted bikinis and one-piece swimsuits. There isn't a great selection in Cape Town but I found some rather fun prints:
I'd really like to get my own fabric printed but it's quite pricey so it'll have to wait until I'm a bit richer. I came across these designs earlier from We Are Handsome and now feel sad I don't own any of these beauties. They go for around R2500 though which is a bit obscene
my google reader just updated so i could take another break from my tight schedule of procrastinating with a little bit of studying in between, to look at these beauties! how glorious. i like the wolf-face best, and also surprisingly that lilac with the little white flowers is also pretty wild, i think. i can imagine it looking great with darker skin ;) also, that girl in the first photo is creepy thin - its disturbing. i like the normal size of civvies' models.
ReplyDeletei think what would be great, is if you took photo's of people wearing your bikinis to put it on the tags when selling at markets - like american apparel does at their stores. it can really be a selling point, because i find often swimwear looks very unappealing on a hanger and the photos can show potential! (also, i love the american apparel advertising - they do it soooo well)
ReplyDeleteI like the lilac too, I thought of ya when I bought it. Thought you might enjoy it in a giggly way. I like this idea of the photos, I was supposed to do it for the last market but then I didn't. Next time for sure :D
